About the Role

TeleMed2U is seeking an experienced physician specializing in Gastroenterology to provide virtual patient care. The ideal candidate will evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult patients with gastroenterology and hepatology conditions through TeleMed2U’s established telehealth platform.

The position includes a 37-hour clinical workweek and opportunities to provide APP supervision, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary care team to manage both chronic and complex Gastral conditions using evidence-based medicine.

What you'll do

  • Conduct virtual evaluations and follow-up visits for adult patients with gastro conditions such as but not limited to: 
    • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
    • Dyspepsia and indigestion Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)Chronic constipation
    • Functional GI disorders
    • Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis) – stable follow‑up
  • Collaborate closely with collaborating gastroenterologists and other members of the care team to ensure continuity of care and appropriate treatment planning.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies as clinically appropriate.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Provide patient education and counseling on diagnoses, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain compliance with all telehealth regulations, licensure requirements, and practice standards.

 

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in CA & MN - Multiple State Licenses a Plus
  • DEA license in good standing
  • Experience in APP supervision
  • Comfortable providing care in a telehealth environment
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care
  • Reliable internet connection and familiarity with telemedicine technology.
  • Strong communication and clinical documentation skills.
