Director, Business Development
About The Role…
The Director of Business Development is a senior sales leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities with hospitals and healthcare systems. The role requires a consultative approach to selling, leveraging a deep understanding of hospital operational challenges to position our solutions effectively. The ideal candidate has a strong background in healthcare software sales, a track record of exceeding sales targets, and exposure to AI-driven technologies.
What You’ll Do…
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to capitalize on emerging opportunities and drive new business growth within the US hospital market.
- Analyze the healthcare SaaS landscape to understand industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives, decision makers, and key stakeholders in hospitals.
- Identify hospital pain points and align our operational efficiency solutions to their needs.
- Conduct high-level solution presentations, product demos, and value-based selling discussions.
- Close new business deals, negotiate contracts, and manage client relationships to ensure long-term success.
- Overseeing contract lifecycle management, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and business requirements.
- Work collaboratively with marketing, product, implementation and client success teams to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies.
- Manage and own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead qualification to negotiation and contract closure.
- Work with the sales team to create tailored pitches, presentations, and proposals that highlight the value proposition of the SaaS product.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in AI-driven healthcare solutions.
- Building alliances with industry influencers, represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline, forecasting and reporting using CRM tools.
What We Look For…
- 10+ years of experience in B2B sales, with a strong focus on selling (SaaS) software solutions to hospitals.
- Deep knowledge of hospital operations, workflows, and decision-making processes.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience with AI-driven or data-driven healthcare solutions is highly desired.
- Strong consultative sales skills with the ability to articulate complex solutions in a simple, value-driven manner.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with CRM software (SalesForce), sales analytics tools, and account-based selling methodologies.
- Become adept with all our products, technology platforms, and our vision and strategy.
- Proven ability to build trust in executive relationships and effectively communicate across teams.
- Ability to analyze data to make informed decisions and optimize business development strategies.
- Ability to travel periodically (between 50% - 75%)
Education...
- Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
