Business Systems Architect

About The Role…

The Business Systems Architect collaborates with both business stakeholders and technical teams to define and evolve TeleTracking’s enterprise system architecture. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate complex business requirements into scalable, high-performing system designs that align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise and sound judgment to guide leadership through architectural trade-offs, ensuring optimal design decisions. In addition to planning and design, the Architect plays a hands-on role in executing complex system integrations, configurations, and data initiatives across large-scale programs, while also providing support for enterprise-wide system issues.

What You’ll Do…

  • Assess and propose suitable technology solutions and tools to address business needs effectively.
  • Design and review systems advising architecture, risks, costs, and impact on business processes and goals.
  • Work with business partners and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate those to technical requirements and system architecture design.
  • Work with the business to onboard and implement new applications when required to meet business needs.
  • Ensure adherence to software development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
  • Utilize automation platforms to streamline processes and optimize workflows; ensure seamless integrations across enterprise systems.
  • Support security measures to protect sensitive data within applications.
  • Manage risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and escalate as appropriate.
  • Leverage SQL and enterprise data warehousing to support data-driven decision-making and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams; lead medium-sized projects, ensuring timely delivery and completion of all required artifacts.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve multi-system, high-severity support issues; ensure enterprise system performance and reliability.
  • Perform system performance analysis, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
  • Create and maintain documentation such as architecture diagrams and roadmaps.
  • Stay up to date on emerging industry trends and adapt system designs to maintain innovative solutions.

What We Look For…

  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to find innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into system design documents.
  • Deep troubleshooting experience.
  • Understanding of SaaS technology.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms to communicate to a broad set of audiences.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills

Preferred Skills

  • API development experience.
  • Experience with Work Management Platform such as Jira.
  • Experience with an Integration Platform such as Workato, FiveTran, MuleSoft, Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Experience with Cloud Data Warehouse Platforms such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift.
  • Experience with Diagram Tools such as Microsoft Visio, Draw.io
  • Experience with data modeling, database design, and data management strategies.
  • Experience applying process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and work experience required
  • 7+ years of cross-functional business experience
  • 7+ years of information technology experience including business analysis, system administration, and support
