About the role

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Platform Architect to lead the evolution of our enterprise software platform and establish the architectural foundation that enables scalable, secure, and high-performing digital products. In this role, you will define the long-term technical vision for shared platform capabilities, partnering closely with engineering leadership, product management, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to drive platform strategy, technology roadmaps, and engineering standards. You will design cloud-native architectures, reusable platform services, APIs, event-driven integrations, developer tooling, and enterprise-wide technical capabilities that accelerate software delivery while ensuring reliability, observability, security, and maintainability. As a trusted technical advisor and mentor, you will guide architectural decisions, promote modern engineering practices, evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-enabled platform capabilities, and establish governance frameworks that support innovation and sustainable growth. This is a highly influential leadership role for an experienced architect who is passionate about platform engineering, modernization, technical excellence, and enabling engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions at scale.

What you will do

As Platform Architect, you will lead the design and evolution of shared platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to build secure, scalable, reliable software. You will set architectural direction, guide technical standards, and partner across teams to support current products and future growth.

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Think strategically while staying practical and delivery-focused.
  • Influence technical direction through collaboration, mentorship, and clear communication.
  • Translate complex architecture decisions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Define and evolve the architecture for shared platform capabilities across enterprise products.
  • Partner with engineering, product, security, infrastructure, and operations teams to shape platform strategy, technical standards, and roadmaps.
  • Design reusable services, APIs, event-driven integrations, developer tools, and reference implementations that accelerate software delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentor engineers and architects, and support major design and modernization initiatives.
  • Evaluate cloud services, AI capabilities, and open-source technologies that improve scalability, reliability, security, and engineering productivity.
  • Create architecture documentation, reference designs, and engineering guidance that support platform adoption and long-term maintainability.
  • Promote reusable design patterns, secure engineering practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Help teams adopt new technologies responsibly and effectively.

What we look for

  • 8–10+ years of software engineering experience designing distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, and scalable enterprise software.
  • Strong architecture expertise across microservices, APIs, event-driven design, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, data platforms, and observability.
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of application security, identity, authentication, authorization, and secure design practices.
  • Ability to evaluate emerging technologies, including AI-assisted engineering tools, and translate them into practical platform improvements.

Other Preferred Knowledge

  • Experience with healthcare technology, interoperability standards, or SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with event streaming, service mesh, cloud-native networking, observability, or enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience designing AI-enabled platforms or integrating LLM-based capabilities.
  • Experience leading architecture reviews, technical governance, or engineering modernization efforts.

Education

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (required)
