The Role 

Headquartered in the U.S., Telnyx is expanding rapidly across the Asia-Pacific region, including the launch of its Australian operations. We’re seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Director of Business Development to lead our commercial efforts in Australia and across the broader APAC region, while also contributing to our global business development strategy. This full-time role will focus on driving growth, building strategic partnerships, and leading a high-performing, cross-regional team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial launch and expansion of Telnyx in Australia and the APAC region
  • Build and manage a global business development team across key markets (AMER, APAC)
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new regions and verticals
  • Drive revenue growth through enterprise sales, customer acquisition, and partner strategy
  • Identify and develop high-impact strategic partnerships and market opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Sales to align on growth initiatives
  • Own regional pricing, customer segmentation, and long-term market strategy
  • Establish performance KPIs and manage against ambitious growth targets

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in B2B business development, partnerships, or commercial leadership
  • 1+ year of management experience in a Business Development function 
  • Proven success launching or scaling tech products in new regional markets
  • Experience leading and growing international teams in a fast-paced, remote environment
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Background in telecom, SaaS, or API-driven platforms strongly preferred
