About Telnyx

Telnyx is an industry leader that's not just imagining the future of global connectivity—we're building it. From architecting and amplifying the reach of a private, global, multi-cloud IP network, to bringing hyperlocal edge technology right to your fingertips through intuitive APIs, we're shaping a new era of seamless interconnection between people, devices, and applications.

We're driven by a desire to transform and modernize what's antiquated, automate the manual, and solve real-world problems through innovative connectivity solutions. As a testament to our success, we're proud to stand as a financially stable and profitable company. Our robust profitability allows us not only to invest in pioneering technologies but also to foster an environment of continuous learning and growth for our team.

Our collective vision is a world where borderless connectivity fuels limitless innovation. By joining us, you can be part of laying the foundations for this interconnected future. We're currently seeking passionate individuals who are excited about the opportunity to contribute to an industry-shaping company while growing their own skills and careers.

The Role

Telnyx owns its network end to end: IoT SIM and eSIM, private networking, Edge Compute, and TelnyxInference, all running together. Your job is to prove what that makes possible, and to turn that proof into content that developers, search engines, and AI answer engines treat as the best answer.

Unlike most DevRel roles, you're measured on business outcomes: organic search traffic, AI answer citations, and signups that come from the demos, benchmarks, and content you ship. If you love building on real hardware and want your work to show up when someone asks Google or ChatGPT how to build it, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Build content that wins search and AI answers. Take priority topics backed by keyword and AI answer data and build the demo, benchmark, or tutorial that becomes the definitive answer for each one.
  • Run benchmarks people trust. Design repeatable tests for latency, throughput, reliability, and cost across Telnyx connectivity, Edge Compute, and Inference, and publish the methodology so developers can reproduce it.
  • Ship real demos on real devices. Deploy working builds on cellular modems, gateways,Raspberry Pi, or ESP32 running Telnyx IoT SIM and eSIM, and show them working in the field.
  • Show edge AI in action. Create reference builds that combine connectivity, private networking, Edge Compute, and Inference, including compliance setups such as in-region inference, data residency, and zero data retention.
  • Publish and maintain open source. Ship sample apps and starter kits on GitHub, and keep them working against current APIs, SDKs, and firmware.
  • Turn every build into many pieces of content. Each project becomes a tutorial, a video, and a set of posts.
  • Close the feedback loop. Be the first user of new products, and bring friction from GitHub, Discord, Reddit, and X back to Product and Engineering.
  • Own your numbers. Track the organic traffic, AI citations, and conversions your work drives, and use them to decide what to build next.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years in developer relations, solutions engineering, or software engineering, with a public portfolio of demos, sample apps, talks, or technical writing that developers actually use.
  • Hands-on coding in Python plus at least one of C/C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go, including writing, testing, and debugging code that runs on devices or at the edge.
  • Real experience with IoT or cellular connectivity, such as SIM/eSIM provisioning, APNs, LTE-M/NB-IoT, or MQTT.
  • An honest, rigorous approach to benchmarking and measurement.
  • Excellent writing based on first-hand experience, the kind of content that developers trust and search engines reward.
  • Comfortable on camera and able to produce clear technical videos.
  • An operator mindset: you ship working demos quickly, measure what happened, and improve.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with SEO, content strategy, or how AI answer engines choose and cite sources.
  • Networking fundamentals such as BGP, IPsec, VPCs, and cloud interconnects.
  • Working knowledge of LLM inference and AI app patterns (model serving, streaming, agent tooluse).
  • DevRel or solutions engineering experience at an IoT, networking, telecom, or cloud company.
  • Published hardware projects on Raspberry Pi, ESP32, or cellular modems.
  • Video editing and visual design skills.
  • Familiarity with compliance needs in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or the public sector.
  • Experience presenting live demos at conferences, meetups, or on livestreams.

How Success Is Measured

  • Growth in organic search traffic and AI answer citations for Edge, IoT, and Inference topics.
  • Developer signups and product activation that come from your demos and content.
  • Published benchmarks and sample repos that developers use, star, and reference.

Why Telnyx

  • Direct access to the network, GPUs, and edge infrastructure Telnyx owns end to end.
  • Work you can measure: you'll see exactly how your builds drive growth.
  • A profitable, fast-moving company with high autonomy and a team that celebrates wins together.
