About the role:
We’re looking for a sharp, seasoned UX designer to join our team. Sure, you’ll need the fundamentals of a great Product Designer, but we’re after something more — a specific skill set, a designer who excels in two critical areas:
- Architectural mindset: You’ll be the go-to designer for our entire administration experience—the backbone of our product. Your job: make every detail of this system not just work but flow. Right now, there’s work to do, areas that need serious rethinking to elevate the entire admin ecosystem. We need an architect who can bring together disparate elements into a cohesive, intuitive experience - a designer with a big-picture mindset who can see the forest AND the trees.
- Component Precision: Our pixels require fine-tuning. You’ll own the part of Templafy’s product that relies heavily on our Design System, where most of our components and tokens live. We’re after someone who doesn’t just know design systems but is excited to advance them. You’ll get hands-on with the UI, refining components to bring both consistency and elegance across the board.
In this role, you’ll balance high-level, strategic design with in-the-weeds work to make the Design System shine. You’ll shift between big-picture collaboration with the Admin Product Trio and rolling up your sleeves for some self-driven, nitty-gritty component polish. This means you influence the whole journey — from the vision to the final pixel.
What makes this role stand out:
Big-picture impact: Your designs won’t just sit in a silo—they’ll shape how the whole system works together, giving our users a seamless, integrated experience.
Creative collaboration: You’ll be working shoulder-to-shoulder with a close-knit team consisting of a Product Manager and Discovery Engineer who value ideas and solutions over ego. Here, your input is celebrated, not just heard.
Cross-product design influence: Influence the evolution of our Design System, boosting product quality and making the whole team more efficient in the process. You'll also be joining a highly collaborative Design Team.
Our team culture:
Pragmatic & impact-focused: We’re here to make a difference, concentrating on what creates results. We’re adaptable, proactive, and committed to prioritizing what truly matters.
Collaboration & open feedback: We work together closely, with a design process that’s as collaborative as it is iterative. Weekly feedback sessions are part of our rhythm — constructive input is the norm, not the exception.
Continuous learning: We prioritize growth with a team-wide education budget, annual getaways, hackathons, and rituals that keep us learning and levelling up our skills together.
Flexibility & balance: We value our time together in the office—usually two days a week—but trust each other to get the work done wherever we are. Flexibility and balance aren’t just ideals here; they’re part of our operating model.
Diversity strengthens us: We respect different perspectives and personalities, knowing they make us stronger. We’re a tight-knit crew that values everyone’s unique contributions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in product design, with a portfolio that showcases user-centered design, prototyping, and UI/UX expertise
- Proven experience building and improving Design Systems
- Strong Figma skills and an eye for detail
- Experience with usability testing and user research methodologies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
Templafy is a workplace of belongingness. To us this means that you have a voice, you dare to speak up, and your voice is heard. We focus on offering an environment that allows all employees to feel that they belong regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, gender, gender identity, genetic information, parental or pregnancy status, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or other status.
