Staff Enablement Manager
Summary
Staff Enablement Manager
Our ideal enablement leader is someone who can help our sales team become developer subject matter experts and trusted advisors who understand the developer landscape, our product capabilities, and how they can drive positive business outcomes.
This role will enable our internal go-to-market teams on new product releases, the benefits of new features, and how to effectively demonstrate them to customers. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our teams have the technical knowledge and skills to win deals and drive customer success.
We are not looking for your standard copy/paste enablement playbook to be applied at Temporal. This person will have the agency and support to think of new and modern ways to run an Enablement program at a fast-growing B2B company.
This person will report to the Director of Product Marketing, and will begin the role as a team of one. As our company and sales org grows, options for hiring and building a team may become available.
What You’ll Do:
Enablement strategy: own and develop a holistic enablement strategy that aligns with Temporal’s business goals.
- Product training and development programs: Develop and deliver technical and product enablement programs for the sales team, including contributions to new hire onboarding, training sessions, workshops, and supporting enablement content and job aids.
- Sales tools and resources: We will maintain our go-to-market hub of information and resources and partner with the product marketing team to build and maintain sales collateral, playbooks, and customer-facing content.
- Performance metrics and optimization: Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of enablement programs, track team performance improvements, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Cross-functional collaboration: collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback from sales teams and customers and incorporate it into enablement strategies.
- Leadership & Coaching: our goal is for this person to eventually build and grow a team, which starts with building a culture of enablement leadership on day 1.
- Prioritize, prioritize, prioritize: If you think this is too much work for one person, trust your instincts. Your key objective is prioritizing the most impactful work and setting clear expectations with your stakeholders.
You will thrive in this role if:
- Deeply understand the role an enablement function plays in accelerating the growth of a B2B software company.
- Crave the agency and open space to build and define a function at a fast-growing company.
- You possess a balance of creative and strategic skills, are comfortable working cross-functionally across the entire business, and are passionate about our startup ecosystem.
- You have a deep passion for Temporal’s mission, our business, and what we’re building for developers.
- You are equally comfortable brainstorming big ideas as you are with getting into the trenches and doing the work.
- You have a demonstrated ability to operate with empathy, agility, and flexibility in a remote, collaborative, and fast-paced environment with team members, colleagues, and cross-functional partners.
