Security Analyst
Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Security Analyst, where you'll play a pivotal role in securing the Temporal infrastructure and product. In this position, you’ll work closely with our security team and partners to ensure customer requirements are met, our vulnerabilities are triaged appropriately, and assist different specialities with advancing security. You’ll contribute directly to protecting both our internal systems and our customers, while helping shape the security foundation of one of the most innovative developer platforms in the industry. We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about building secure infrastructure, scaling modern cloud-native systems, and fostering a strong security culture across engineering.
What You’ll Do
- Support the current compliance strategy and audits, including implementing and improving tools, processes, and standards for audit and compliance management.
- Represent Temporal’s Security program to prospects and customers in partnership with our Sales teams.
- Assist in building and testing security detections for cloud and application environments.
- Manage and follow-up on vulnerabilities and risk register items.
- Contribute to ongoing security team projects, such as automation, process improvements, or tool evaluations.
- Learn and apply best practices in secure coding, cloud security, and identity/access management.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in an information security, IT, or compliance-related role
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF)
- Interest in both GRC and technical security work, with a willingness to learn and grow in both areas
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining security requirements to non-technical teams
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
Nice to Have
- Open Source automation or automation projects
- AI security knowledge
- Experience in multiple programming languages
- Exposure to vulnerability management tools, SIEMs, or security automation
- Security certifications (e.g., Security+, GSEC, CCSK)
- The estimated pay range for this role is USD $125,000 - $160,000 depending on qualifications and location.
- This role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan.
