Summary

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to play a key leadership role in scaling our accounting function during a period of rapid growth and organizational transformation. This position will oversee core day to day accounting operations, ensure the integrity of financial reporting, and help build scalable processes that support our usage-based SaaS revenue model.  

The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical accounting expertise with strong leadership and process improvement skills. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the accounting infrastructure of a high-growth technology company while mentoring a developing team.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting analyses.
  • Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
  • Manage the implementation and optimization of NetSuite (and related system integrations) to drive automation and efficiency.
  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and ongoing compliance of technical accounting standards, including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 350, ASC 340-40, ASC 718 and ASC 326.
  • Draft technical accounting memos documenting our polices, significant judgments, and conclusions.
  • Oversee quarterly and annual tax compliance including federal, state, and local filings.
  • Collaborate on international tax compliance, transfer pricing, and permanent establishment analysis as we expand globally.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, HR, and Operations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Lead and mentor accounting members through a period of organizational change, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement. Cross-train team members to build depth and coverage across all accounting functions.
  • Prepare audit-ready workpapers and serve as key point of contact in external audits.
  • Partner with leadership to enhance forecasting, cash management, and strategic financial initiatives.
  • Help drive the evolution of accounting systems and processes to support rapid growth and increased transaction volume.
  • Lead or support special projects, including implementation of process automations and AI tools to scale operations efficiently.
  • Build scalable processes and controls that support audit readiness and future SOX compliance.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a management role
  • CPA required; Big 4 public accounting experience required
  • Experience in SaaS or usage-based revenue model required
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Strong technical accounting research and writing skills—you can draft a clear, well-supported memo
  • Experience with high-growth environments and building scalable accounting processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with NetSuite required
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving, and collaborative environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Compensation

  • The estimated pay range for this role is $129,500 - $188,125.
  • This role is eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan
Compensation ranges reflect salary and commission compensation (when applicable) across several geographic markets. Employment offers carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, knowledge, expertise, skillset, market location, and job level assessed during the interview process.
