Strategy & Operations Manager - Real World Data Organization
We are looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager to join our Real World Data organization. This individual will be a key member of our strategy and planning team involved in generating high quality structured clinical data across the company to accelerate the discovery of novel targets, predict the effectiveness of treatments, identify life-saving clinical trials, and diagnose disease earlier.
Responsibilities

Shape Team Strategy: Develop prioritization frameworks, implementation plans, and growth strategies for our most strategic workstreams. Understand how to balance short term and long term tradeoffs

Create Executive Level Presentations: Build clear, informative presentations to summarize our team’s key initiatives, KPI performance, and strategic direction for executive leadership

Build Demand & Capacity Forecast Models: Create forward looking demand and capacity models to guide our team’s strategy, growth, structure, and training

Enable Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze vast amounts of information to drive data-backed decisions and workstreams. Build key metrics and outline the logic required to develop them, create streamlined data pulls and reporting to understand business trends, provide workstream updates, and craft actionable recommendations

Outline Project Costs & Tradeoffs: Analyze costs and tradeoffs associated with various project scenarios to maximize efficiency and ROI

Own KPI Performance: Monitor performance to ensure successful implementation of key workstreams, including outlining project plans to achieve KPIs, establishing benchmarks/goals to clearly measure progress, and holding teams accountable

Investigate Data Discrepancies and Performance Gaps: Address deviations in metrics by identifying root causes and proposing solutions, such as logic edits to improve data accuracy or action plans to optimize workflows

Collaborate Across Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with clinical, AI, finance, engineering, and operations teams, along with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure alignment and drive strategic initiatives
Base Qualifications

5+ years of experience in operations, strategy, finance, consulting, project management, or other applicable fields

Excellent Excel / Google Sheets and PowerPoint / Google Slides skills

Proficiency in or desire to learn SQL

Proficiency in or desire to learn Tableau and/or Looker

Bachelor's Degree

Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle problems logically; a data-driven approach to outline business problems, decision making, and sound business judgment to determine project performance and financial viability

Strong project management skills; ability to bring order to ambiguous problems and help align internal and external partners through to execution

The expected salary range below is applicable if the role is performed from [Illinois] and may vary for other locations. Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits, depending on the position.
Illinois Pay Range
$80,000 - $120,000 USD
