Role Overview:
As the Project Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of technology projects, with a particular focus on large-scale projects in the public sector. You will be responsible for managing project teams, ensuring client satisfaction, driving project delivery excellence, and contributing to the overall profitability and growth of our business. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects in a customer-centric environment.

Job Responsibilities:


Project Delivery Management:

  • Oversee the successful delivery of technology projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Manage project teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure project success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, and business development, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, tracking progress and resolving any issues or risks that may impact project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve project delivery efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring appropriate governance and compliance measures are in place.

Public Sector Expertise:

  • Leverage your deep understanding of the public sector to effectively manage large-scale projects within this domain.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in the public sector, applying this knowledge to drive project success.
  • Collaborate with public sector stakeholders to understand their requirements, manage expectations, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the public sector's priorities and needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of solutions that address critical public sector challenges.

Financial Management & Profitability:

  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure projects are delivered within budget and contribute to the overall profitability of the organization.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve project profitability, including cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
  • Track project performance against budget and identify areas for improvement.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in service delivery management or related roles, with a focus on delivering multiple technology projects.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects in the public sector.
  • Strong customer engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction.
  • Experience with financial management and project profitability analysis.
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes.
  • Experience with sales and business development within the public sector.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with implementation-type projects and the associated methodologies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
