We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Intern to join our Legal team with a specific focus on contract management and contract reviews. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in contract law, working closely with our Legal team to review, draft, and manage contracts for the firm’s clients, vendors, and other business partners.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Review & Drafting: Assist in the review, analysis, and drafting of various contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, client agreements, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
  • Contract Management: Support the contract lifecycle, from initial negotiations to execution, including organizing and maintaining a database of executed agreements.
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research on contract law and related topics to provide relevant insights during contract drafting and negotiations.
  • Risk Assessment: Assist in identifying key legal and business risks in contracts, offering recommendations for mitigating potential issues or liabilities.
  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure contracts align with internal policies, compliance requirements, and industry regulations, helping to standardize processes where needed.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work with internal teams (sales, finance, operations, etc.) to understand contract terms and address any questions or issues related to agreements.
  • Document Organization: Maintain organized records of contracts and related documents, ensuring all contracts are accurately filed and easily accessible.
  • Contractual Dispute Resolution: Assist in managing and resolving minor contract disputes, and help ensure contracts are enforceable and in line with the company’s legal rights.
  • General Legal Support: Provide administrative support for the legal department, including organizing meetings and preparing contract-related reports.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a LLB/JD program, or recently graduated with a law degree.
  • Strong academic record with a focus on contract law, commercial law, or related fields preferred.
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot key issues in legal documents.
  • Prior experience or coursework in contract law or legal writing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with contract management software or systems is a bonus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
