Your Role:
Our Procurement Specialists possess excellent knowledge of procurement operations and strategic sourcing processes for purchasing hardware, software, and services for Tenable. They are detail-oriented and team-centric. Our Procurement team receives and processes requests from across Tenable, who need help with vendor selection, the procurement of various kinds of goods and services, and within an accelerated timeline. Our Procurement Specialists’ responsibilities include working with external vendor partners and collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify efficient, cost-effective solutions and the timely delivery of goods and services. The Procurement Specialist role is an individual contributor role and will be part of Tenable’s corporate Procurement team.
Your Opportunity:
Manage all assigned procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating, contracting, vendor onboarding, etc.
Deliver cost savings by negotiating cost and contract terms to position Tenable at an advantageous position to control its spend and reduce risk
Work closely and build relationships within Tenable including IT, Engineering,Marketing, Legal, and Information Security, as well as other teams
Build effective relationships with the vendors and create a long-term win-win relationship
Work on a broad range of categories such as engineering, marketing, sales, finance, information security, etc.
What You'll Need:
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring stakeholders receive frequent updates and orders are placed on time.
Strong communication skills to build collaborative stakeholder relationships
Ability to scale from tactical purchase order creation to leading strategic
negotiations; driving consensus between internal stakeholders for making optimal procurement decision for the companyStrong mathematical and analytical skills
Being fair and ethical and being able to communicate with clarity and set
expectations2-3 years of prior experience in Procurement, Vendor Management, or Customer
SupportA bachelor’s degree
Customer-facing, retail experience is a nice to have
And Ideally:
Passionate about documentation, reporting, and following up
Experience with ticketing systems and financial systems
Strong negotiation skills and familiarity with legal terms and conditions in IT and other procurement contracts
Familiarity with procurement tools and experience in procuring IT, software,
hardware, professional services facilities services
