Associate Director, Forensic Analytics
The Role
This is a unique opportunity for a motivated Associate Director who specialises in Analytics to join the Forensic Technology practice of Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm. Our team advise and support clients throughout the forensic technology workflow in relation to litigation, arbitration, forensic or financial crime investigations, and regulatory responses. The specific role will be dependent upon the experience of the candidate. The overall role will be to support the delivery of client engagements for our Forensic Technology service line, covering all areas of the investigations lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
As a Forensic Technology Associate Director, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead analytics workflow and teams of technology specialists on client projects, using the latest technology to efficiently and accurately assist our clients.
- Deliver and / or contribute to complex forensic investigations, including fraud, asset tracing, bribery, corruption, sanctions, accounting irregularities, whistleblower complaints, and / or regulatory inquiries.
- Manage the end-to-end analytics workflow on client projects, including data collection, transformation, analysis, reporting and disclosure.
- Devising, reviewing and updating standard operating procedures on an ongoing basis (keeping abreast of developments in Gen AI and analytics technology), and providing training to members of the team as needed.
- Proactively planning workload and tasks for multiple active client matters, often with regulatory or court-imposed deadlines.
- Handle day-to-day liaison with client teams, empathising with client issues and escalating concerns where appropriate.
- Provide quality & risk management and project oversight across multiple analytics workstreams or projects.
- Lead and assist in Business Development and proposition development activities alongside Directors and Managing Directors.
- Play an active role in the capability development of the Forensic Technology team and coaching of junior team members.
- National and international travel may be required on an infrequent basis.
Key Skills & Experience
Basic Qualification
- 8+ years of forensic technology experience specialising in Analytics in a consulting environment preferably gained at a Strategy or Management Consulting firm, Big 4 or corporate internal consulting function.
- Mandatory technical expertise with SQL, Python, PowerBi and Excel.
- Experience with Analytics platforms: preferred Fabric or Databricks, but also Snowflake.
- Ambitious, with a desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial culture.
- Strong client management and communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to communicate complex ideas and analytics approaches effectively to a non-technical audience.
- Experience with advising clients under pressure, ability to respond rapidly and accurately, good judgement for escalating issues.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring others.
- Appetite to build and expand own skills and knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advantageous (but not essential) experience with products / toolkits of 3rd party vendors such as Quantexa, Palantir or Linkurious.
- Experience with technology platforms: preferred Azure, but also GCP or AWS.
- Strongly preferred expertise with Gen AI capabilities: ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. Experience with Agentic AI.
