The Management Consulting Team at Teneo

Our Management Consulting division focuses on answering key strategic questions for business and public-sector leaders through our mix of senior experience and rigorous analysis, combined with the unique expertise that exists across Teneo. We operate across a diverse array of sectors including Consumer Goods, Healthcare, Leisure & Hospitality, Software, Transport, and TMT, amongst others. Within these markets, we provide strategic, operational, and due diligence support, advising reputable FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 firms, key public-sector organisations, and leading private equity houses.  

 

Key Attributes

This role is key to supporting the significant growth ambitions for the Consulting business. Specifically focusing on supporting the Business Services practice and deals activity across Management Consulting.

 

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a new member of the team to join our Dubai office and play a pivotal role in helping us to achieve our core objectives:

  • Pursuit management
    • Support in opportunity review and qualification support
    • Proactively source relevant materials across Teneo MC and broader Teneo
    • Support on proposal writing (e.g. credentials / team)
    • Building and managing a library of content to ‘productise’ the process
    • Support development of commercials
    • Own the submission process for portal-based submissions
    • Manage post-mortems (i.e. win rate, reason for losses, who we lost to etc.)

 

  • Regional pipeline management
    • Interface with Louis to ensure consolidated realistic pipeline based on probabilities, value, expected timeline, actions to drive it forward etc.
    • Drive cadence with S/MDs to ensure proactive BD – i.e. what has moved, what is stuck, what needs to be done etc.
    • Identify cross-sell and adjacency opportunities across Teneo MC and broader Teneo offerings
    • Support in preparing client meeting briefs (I am already speaking with Alec Marshall about an AI tool we could build here that would enable a BD person to really support here)
    • Track meetings and follow-ups
    • Prepare weekly region report for Teneo MC head

 

  • Account development
    • Support account planning on key accounts, i.e. stakeholder maps, relationship mapping, meeting progress etc.
    • Programme manage account plans, i.e. support in meeting preparation, track follow ups etc.

 

  • Marketing and thought leadership support
    • Coordinate creation of:
      • Middle East tailored ‘intro to Teneo’ sector overviews and credentials decks
      • Support on whitepaper development (i.e. taking a consultant written 80% draft and finishing it)
    • Project manage marketing calendar (e.g. whitepapers, conference participation, events hosting etc.)
    • Manage planning for roundtables, client dinners, conference attendance, and sponsorships

 

  • Knowledge management
    • Manage / oversee the ME team knowledge management
      • Revise folder structure where required (from what the team has showed me, so clean up is required)
      • Ensure all regionally relevant sector credentials, previous proposals, BD decks case studies, team CVs, methodologies, proposal boiler plates are maintained in a structured repository
      • Be the ‘first point of contact’ on a BD pursuit to collate relevant materials around Teneo to avoid the team hunting

 

  • Internal coordination across Teneo
    • Build and manage relationships across Teneo MC BD and wider Teneo to source / share best content and coordinate multi-geography / business line pursuits
    • Scout opportunities for joint pursuits / propositions, capability sharing etc.
    • Ensure ME S/MD teams are aware of relevant US/Europe Teneo MC capabilities to take to market in ME and vice versa

 

  • Slide design and production management
    • Manage interface with internal slide design resource (and external contractors where required)
    • Support development of ME-specific stock slides to accelerate BD process

 

  • CRM
    • Support the team in CRM (Hubspot) management

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • 2-3 years’ relevant work experience ideally within a Consulting environment
  • Excellent analytical skills and an entrepreneurial attitude
  • Excellent communication skills and creativity
  • Highly logical and numerate
  • Evidence of teamwork, leadership, and ambition, alongside relevant work experience
  • Degree Qualified (2.1 or above preferred) in any degree discipline
  • Operates at a fast pace demonstrating the ability to influence and challenge when needed.
  • Proactively takes on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks
  • Creates an immediate, positive, and credible impression on others
  • Ensures all reports, data and written work are correct in detail and without error
  • Can skilfully and confidently influence and negotiate and maintain a positive relationship with all parties during difficult conversations
  • Working knowledge of the Arabic language is an advantage but not required
