You will have the opportunity to lead major UI initiatives, promote scalable architecture and accessibility, and elevate engineering best practices across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineer (7+ years) who understands that front-end architecture is the bridge between technical feasibility and exceptional user experience. This position will lead complex UI initiatives, mitigate technical debt, and ensure our front-end ecosystem is performant, accessible, and built for long-term scalability.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of large-scale frontend features with minimal oversight
- Design reusable architecture patterns and contribute to the evolution of shared tooling and design systems
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and accessibility issues at a systemic level
- Serve as a mentor to associate and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance, code review feedback, and pair programming support
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and design teams to clarify ambiguous requirements and align UI implementation with product strategy
- Influence roadmap priorities through technical feasibility insights and proactive risk mitigation
- Utilize Advanced Front-End Technologies to:
- Build interactive 2D/WebGL frontends using Pixi.js and optimize performance via Web Workers
- Integrate AI developer workflows and AI capabilities into front-end applications
- Optimize applications using code splitting, lazy loading, performance profiling tools, and CI/CD testing frameworks

- Tooling, Testing & Workflow: Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Vitest, Jest, React Testing Library), modern build tools/bundlers (e.g., Vite, Webpack), CI/CD pipelines, and AI developer workflows.
- Specialized Graphics & Performance: Hands-on experience building interactive 2D/WebGL frontends using Pixi.js, optimizing browser performance via Web Workers, and utilizing profiling tools.
- Engineering Experience & Mentorship: 7+ years (or equivalent demonstrated depth) of experience in front-end software engineering, with a proven track record of mentoring junior and mid-level developers and driving architecture reviews.
- Systemic Quality & Accessibility: Deep knowledge of web accessibility standards, system-level performance optimization, and design system engineering.
- Technical Communication & Alignment: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences, with a proven ability to build consensus and refine user flows.
- Strategic Awareness: Demonstrated ability to align front-end technical strategy with business goals, deconstruct complex features into iterative components, and mitigate technical debt.
