Senior Marketing Automation Consultant

Remote

Tenon is the leader in enterprise marketing workflows. Built on ServiceNow, Tenon provides a single solution for marketing teams to execute campaigns, projects, and marketing work with speed and at scale.

Designed by marketers for marketers, Tenon delivers marketing automation within a single enterprise platform already used by IT, HR, Finance, Sales, and Customer Service, enabling organizations to collaborate, execute, and scale like never before.

The Senior Marketing Automation Consultant is a hands-on role responsible for advising customers on marketing automation strategy, campaign execution, and best practices during implementations and after go-live. This role bridges marketing expertise and delivery execution, ensuring customers successfully adopt Tenon and continue to realize value through ongoing managed services.

This is not a reactive support role. It is a practitioner-led advisory position that works closely with Tenon’s Implementation & Support team and will play a key role in Tenon’s paid, ongoing managed services offerings.

What You’ll Do

During Implementations

  • Partner closely with Tenon’s Implementation team to guide customers through marketing automation best practices during deployments.
  • Participate in customer discovery sessions with a focus on marketing workflows, campaign execution models, and operational readiness.
  • Advise customers on campaign design, journeys, audience segmentation, messaging strategy, and execution patterns.
  • Help customers transition existing programs from platforms such as Attentive, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Pardot, and Adobe Marketo into Tenon on ServiceNow.
  • Review and validate campaign configurations, journeys, and messaging plans prior to go-live to ensure scalability and consistency.
  • Act as the marketing subject matter expert in customer workshops and working sessions.
  • Help with the selection of codes for texting and subdomains for emails and landing pages.

Post Go-Live and Managed Services

  • Provide ongoing advisory support to customers through structured managed services engagements.
  • Lead recurring customer sessions focused on:
    • Campaign planning and optimization
    • Journey design and sequencing
    • Audience strategy and data utilization
    • Performance measurement and reporting
  • Help customers mature from basic outbound messaging into more advanced, automated, and signal-driven programs.
  • Contribute to the development of repeatable managed services offerings, playbooks, and best-practice frameworks.
  • Support the expansion of Tenon’s services revenue through long-term advisory engagements.

Internal Collaboration and Tenon Product Enablement

  • Serve as the voice of the marketer internally, providing feedback to Product, Engineering, and Implementation teams.
  • Partner with Sales and Implementation on pre-sales discovery and scoping as needed, without owning commercial expansion.
  • Help define how Tenon packages, positions, and delivers ongoing marketing advisory services.
  • Become a Tenon power user, developing deep, hands-on proficiency across Tenon’s marketing automation capabilities, including campaigns, journeys, audiences, messaging, and reporting.
  • Confidently demonstrate Tenon features and workflows to customers, prospects, and internal teams, serving as a trusted product expert and practitioner.
  • Provide clear, actionable product feedback based on real-world customer usage, helping inform Tenon’s product roadmap, feature prioritization, and usability improvements.
Partner closely with Product and Engineering to pressure-test new features, validate use cases, and ensure new capabilities align with how marketers actually work.
  • Contribute to internal enablement by helping shape best practices, examples, and reference implementations that elevate how Tenon is delivered and adopted.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience running marketing campaigns in an enterprise or high-growth environment.
  • Direct experience executing email and SMS campaigns.
  • Strong experience with one or more marketing automation platforms, such as:
    • Attentive
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Pardot
    • Adobe Marketo
    • Klavio
    • HubSpot
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Campaign and journey orchestration
    • Audience segmentation and data usage
    • Marketing operations and execution workflows
  • Experience advising or consulting with customers on marketing automation best practices.
  • Ability to translate marketing strategy into executable programs.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and facilitation skills.
  • Comfort working alongside technical delivery teams during implementations.
  • ServiceNow experience is not required, but comfort working within enterprise platforms is important.

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
