We are seeking a skilled and experienced High-Performance Computing (HPC) Architect to design and implement cutting-edge architectures that power scientific, research, and data-intensive applications. You’ll collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, and domain experts to deliver scalable, efficient, and optimized solutions that push the boundaries of HPC performance.
This role is remote or in one of our offices, based out of The United States.

Who You Are
- A seasoned architect with a track record of scaling HPC systems for scientific or research workloads.
- Proficient in HPC software stacks, compilers, runtime systems, and schedulers.
- Comfortable mentoring junior engineers and sharing best practices.
- Skilled communicator who thrives in cross-functional, collaborative environments.
- Curious and forward-looking, always tracking the latest HPC hardware and software advancements.
What We Need
- 15+ years of experience in HPC architecture design and optimization.
- Strong C++ skills, including experience coding performance models.
- Deep knowledge of processors, accelerators, interconnects, and memory subsystems.
- Hands-on experience with workload analysis, parallel programming (MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, OpenCL), and performance profiling.
Familiarity with interconnect technologies (InfiniBand, Ethernet, Omni-Path) and memory hierarchy designs (NUMA, cache coherence protocols).

Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
