
Sr. Engineer, Systems- Silicon Power & Characterization

We are seeking a motivated Sr. Systems Engineer to support power characterization and measurement across our silicon platforms. In this role, you will develop automation scripts to control and log power data, assist in setting up and running power measurement experiments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in power validation efforts.
This is a hands-on role that offers a great opportunity to gain experience in low-level hardware-software interaction and silicon-level power analysis.
This role is on-site, based out of Toronto, Canada.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate power measurement workflows.
- Set up and perform controlled power measurements on silicon hardware in lab environments.
- Interface with hardware instrumentation (e.g., oscilloscopes, power analyzers, multimeters) and power management ICs.
- Collect, analyze, and document power consumption data under various test conditions.
- Work closely with silicon validation, hardware, and firmware teams to reproduce and debug power-related issues.
- Assist in maintaining power lab infrastructure and ensuring accuracy of test setups.
- Analyze data, generate reports and dashboards summarizing measurement results.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or master's in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or MATLAB.
- Basic understanding of electronics, device physics and power measurement principles.
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Data analysis and visualization experience
- Detail-oriented with good documentation practices.
