Tenstorrent is seeking a Robotics/Automotive System Software Engineer to help shape the future of intelligent vehicles and robotics. In this role, you’ll design and optimize system software that sit at the intersection of hardware, safety, and performance. This is a chance to work on next-generation SoCs that power autonomous and embodied AI systems.
This role is remote, based out of the United States or Australia.

Who You Are
- A systems thinker who understands the interplay between hardware, software, and automotive innovation.
- Experienced in robotics or automotive software development, with strong skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Knowledgeable in operating systems, hypervisors, and software frameworks like ROS or AUTOSAR.
- Comfortable collaborating across architecture, hardware, and systems teams to solve complex challenges.
What We Need
- Define and implement software architectures that meet stringent functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
- Build robust frameworks supporting advanced robotics and automotive use cases.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to deliver seamless software integration.
- Develop innovative solutions bridging hardware capabilities with software performance.

Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
