With AI redefining the computing paradigm, solutions must evolve to unify innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. Our diverse team of technologists have developed a high performance RISC-V CPU from scratch, and share a passion for AI and a deep desire to build the best AI platform possible. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to solving hard problems. We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.
Tenstorrent is seeking a Taiwan Manufacturing Ops Lead to serve as the in-region operations leader for contract manufacturing and supplier execution across system, mechanical, and OSAT partners. This person will own day-to-day factory engagement, lead a Taiwan-based manufacturing organization, and drive build readiness, quality, yield, test execution, material alignment, and issue resolution from NPI through volume production.
The role is intended for a hands-on manufacturing leader who can translate headquarters priorities into factory action, hold suppliers and contract manufacturers accountable, and build a strong local team spanning Supplier Quality Engineers, Production Engineers, and Manufacturing Technicians.
This scope reflects common market expectations for Taiwan-based manufacturing operations and supplier quality leadership roles, including direct CM execution, supplier development, yield governance, test and quality oversight, audit readiness, and cross-functional escalation management.
This role is hybrid based out of Taiwan.
We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.
Who You Are
- A hands-on manufacturing operations leader with 10+ years of experience in hardware, electronics, systems, or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
- An experienced people manager who can lead and develop cross-functional teams across supplier quality, production engineering, manufacturing test, and technician functions.
- A strong supplier and contract manufacturer partner with experience managing Taiwan or broader Asia-based operations, escalations, corrective actions, and capability improvements.
- A clear communicator in English who can connect global engineering, quality, supply chain, and program teams with factory and supplier stakeholders; Mandarin capability is strongly preferred.
What We Need
- Lead NPI, pilot, ramp, and sustaining builds across system integrators, mechanical suppliers, and OSAT partners, ensuring readiness across materials, processes, fixtures, test capacity, labor, and documentation.
- Establish a disciplined operating cadence and performance-management system covering output, WIP, shortages, yield, throughput, test performance, defects, rework, DPPM, cycle time, and shipment readiness.
- Drive cross-functional resolution of yield excursions, test failures, process drift, workmanship defects, material nonconformance, and schedule risks using structured methods such as 8D, CAPA, SPC, FMEA, control plans, and DOE.
- Build supplier accountability through performance reviews, scorecards, escalation paths, corrective-action tracking, audit readiness, change management, and long-term capability development.
What You Will Learn
- How to scale manufacturing operations across complex electromechanical, system-level, and semiconductor back-end production environments.
- How to connect global product, quality, test, reliability, supply chain, and program priorities to day-to-day factory execution in Taiwan.
- How to strengthen NPI-to-volume-production readiness through data-driven yield governance, test strategy, process control, and supplier development.
- How to build and develop a high-performing in-region manufacturing organization while creating standardized processes for long-term operational scale.
