Tenstorrent is looking for an EMEA Payroll Specialist to manage and strengthen payroll operations across Europe, with primary responsibility for Serbia and support for Poland and additional EMEA countries as the business grows. This role will own the day-to-day execution of monthly payroll activities in partnership with ADP Celergo, in-country payroll providers, HR, Finance, Treasury, and Tax. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working across multiple countries and time zones, and motivated to improve payroll controls, data quality, reporting, and automation.
This role is hybrid, based out of Belgrade, Serbia.
We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.
Who You Are
- You bring 3+ years of payroll operations experience, ideally supporting multiple EMEA countries or a regional payroll environment.
- You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with the judgment to manage multiple payroll calendars, time zones, deadlines, and competing priorities independently.
- You have hands-on experience working with external payroll providers and multi-country payroll platforms, with ADP Celergo experience strongly preferred.
- You understand payroll controls, data validation, reconciliations, variance analysis, statutory deductions, social contributions, and audit support, with knowledge of Serbia and/or Poland payroll processes.
- You communicate clearly in English, protect confidential employee and compensation information, and take a proactive, analytical, and service-oriented approach to resolving issues and escalating risk.
What We Need
- Own end-to-end monthly payroll operations for assigned EMEA countries, including payroll inputs, employee data validation, payroll calendars, reviews, approvals, reconciliations, funding, and payment confirmation.
- Partner with ADP, ADP Client Account Managers, in-country providers, HR, Finance, Treasury, Tax, and Legal to resolve discrepancies, service requests, configuration issues, rejected inputs, statutory requirements, and compliance activities.
- Maintain accurate HRIS and ADP Celergo data, and produce or review payroll previews, registers, variance reports, payslips, accounting outputs, and audit evidence.
- Support new entity and payroll expansion activities, including pay group, bank account, employee population, local requirement, year-end, audit, and EOR-to-entity transition work.
- Improve payroll operations through stronger controls, standardized reporting, clear documentation, issue tracking, system testing, workflow redesign, and automation of recurring earnings and deductions.
What You Will Learn
- How to operate and scale a multi-country EMEA payroll function across Serbia, Poland, and additional regional entities.
- How local payroll requirements, statutory filings, social contributions, provider relationships, and entity launches come together in a growing international business.
- How payroll data flows across HRIS, ADP Celergo, Finance, Treasury, Tax, and local providers, and how to build controls that improve accuracy and trust.
- How to turn payroll reporting, reconciliations, automation, and process documentation into a more scalable employee and HR support experience.
Tenstorrent offers a highly competitive compensation package and benefits, and we are an equal opportunity employer.
