Tenstorrent is looking for engineering interns to join our dynamic team. We know junior engineers want to explore different areas and expand their skill sets. The ideal candidates will have a wealth of exposure designing PCBs either through school or side project enthusiasm, A background in electrical engineering, electronics or relevant field is required as you will be exposed to a multitude of designs, lifecycle stages and debug efforts. A deep love of all things high speed is appreciated!
This role is on-site, based out of Toronto.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design of PCB layouts, either a section or a whole design, including initial placement, layout reviews, bring-up, and debug.
- Create design specs, liase with vendors and order supporting equipment and supplies.
- Participate in design reviews, providing valuable input from your area of expertise and beyond.
- Assist with all manner of hardware related activities, with exposure to mechanical designs, EMC testing, liquid cooling, complex PCB architectures, new ASICs and new memory and I/O interfaces
Experience & Qualifications:
- Exposure to digital design using some form of ECAD tool including Altium, OrCAD/Allegro, or similar
- Interest and knowledge of computer architecture is an asset
- Programming/scripting skills for automation in Python is an asset
- Logical thinker, able to approach complex problems and break them down into manageable chunks
