Virtual Prototype Modeling Intern
Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology, revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. With AI redefining the computing paradigm, solutions must evolve to unify innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. Our diverse team of technologists have developed a high performance RISC-V CPU from scratch, and share a passion for AI and a deep desire to build the best AI platform possible. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to solving hard problems. We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.
As a virtual prototyping Intern, you will work alongside experienced architects and engineers in a team responsible for designing, developing, and testing CPU and AI models to aid computer architecture study. Your responsibilities will include helping to model and analyze system management communications within heterogeneous silicon systems referred to as System In Packages (SiP). SiPs contain various chiplets for compute, AI, memory and other subsystems. Management communications are a critical part of initializing and configuring the SiP for optimal functionality and performance.
We are open to hiring this intern on-site in Santa Clara, or Austin.
Responsibilities:
- Understand current trends in SiP architecture and modes of System Management.
- Collaborate with the research and development team to design, implement, and optimize the system management models tailored for SiP architecture.
- Experiment with various communication modes, protocols, and software/hardware algorithms and understand their effectiveness.
- Assist in developing the modeling of management subsystems, communication channels and associated software.
- Participate in the development of high-level design specifications, test plans, and testing
Experience & Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a M.S or Ph.D. degree in Computer Architecture, or a related field
- Strong background in CPU architecture.
- Familiar with computer organization and architecture and digital systems modeling
