Are you a recent graduate eager to work in the cutting-edge field of CPU verification? We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented CPU Core Feature / Testplan Verification Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the functional verification of high-performance CPU cores by creating test plans, debugging, and working across simulation and emulation platforms. This role is hybrid, based out of Austin, TX or Santa Clara, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans and stimulus for CPU core verification, focusing on ISA and microarchitectural validation.
- Debug core-level issues and enhance stimulus and debug capabilities for core, cluster, and chip-level testbench environments.
- Create architectural and microarchitectural coverage for core features, ensuring comprehensive verification and timely closure of coverage.
- Work closely with design, test, and post-silicon validation teams to deliver high-quality CPU cores and clusters.
- Contribute to the development of random and directed stimulus across pre-silicon, emulation, and post-silicon platforms.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Recent BS or MS graduate in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Engineering (CE), Computer Science (CS), or a related field.
- Successful completion of Advanced Computer Architecture course(s).
- Internship(s) within a CPU chip program is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with one or more ISAs (x86, ARM, or RISC-V).
- Experience with debugging in simulation environments and proficiency in waveform and log file-based debugging.
- Basic knowledge of assembly, C/C++, and hardware description languages (Verilog, VHDL) is a plus.
- Familiarity with scripting (Python, PERL) and UVM-based stimulus generation is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn and grow in the field of CPU verification.
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
