POSITION SUMMARY

Terrabis is seeking a seasoned Data Architect and Analytics Lead to design, implement, and manage an innovative data infrastructure. This role will enable data-driven decision-making and innovation, aligning with the company's growth in the regulated cannabis industry. As a senior leader, you will collaborate across departments to ensure data systems are scalable, efficient, and compliant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Architecture and Infrastructure

  • Design and maintain a scalable data architecture that integrates various systems, including POS, e-commerce, CRM, and marketing platforms.
  • Manage our centralized data warehouse in Snowflake
  • Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines to automate data collection, processing, and transformation.
  • Ensure high data quality, integrity, and availability through regular validation and monitoring processes.

Business Partnership and Strategy

  • Partner with department leads to align data projects with strategic goals.
  • Be a thought partner to cross-functional leaders, helping them leverage data to solve complex business problems.
  • Provide analytical insights for pricing, inventory, customer segmentation, and marketing optimization.

Advanced Analytics Enablement

  • Build frameworks for experimentation (e.g., A/B testing) to enable data driven growth.
  • Build predictive and prescriptive models to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and improve customer retention.

Governance and Compliance

  • Develop and enforce data governance policies to ensure compliance with cannabis industry regulations.
  • Maintain documentation for all data architecture and analytics processes to ensure clarity and consistency.

Tooling and Innovation

  • Spearhead new tool integrations and maximize their use.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in designing and building data architecture, leading analytics, or data science teams, driving business, customer, or marketing analytics.
  • Proficiency with building and maintaining cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, ETL/ELT tools such as dbt, and visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience in a regulated industry, and Ecommerce (B2C) preferred.
