JOB SUMMARY
The ideal candidate possesses a comprehensive understanding of cannabis oil manufacturing. They are proficient with laboratory equipment used for pre-roll infusion, terp mixing, vape shooting, proper storage techniques, and heating oils. Operates with precision, strong technical and analytical skills. Collaborates with leadership to optimize recipes and products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain strict inventory controls to ensure full, comprehensive regulatory compliance.
- Pull concentrate, terpenes, hardware and packaging from inventory and maintain inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed products, and making recommendations to Director of Manufacturing Operations for ordering.
- Be able to operate and train on any of the machines and processes within
- the lab.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts in METRC and inventory software.
- Follow production schedule as set by Director of Manufacturing Operations.
- Create production batches and METRC tags in track and trace systems.
- Delegate tasks to team members to achieve goals as set by Director of Manufacturing Operations.
- Develop and coach team members to help elevate their skills and expertise.
- Establish a culture of accountability through setting clear expectations, documenting records of discussions, and enforcing expectations with corrective actions, if needed.
- Follow company guidelines for performance management of team members.
- Work with Director of Manufacturing Operations to troubleshoot any equipment issues or process flow issues that may arise.
- Prepare bulk concentrate mixes for all infused products.
- Ensure execution and record keeping of maintenance for all equipment and machines.
- Comply with all security measures and quality standards.
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of all products, of the cannabis industry, and of any relevant cannabis-related subject matter.
- Be knowledgeable of CPG and cannabis manufacturing equipment
- Participate in staff events, outings, and promotional events.
- Read industry publications to keep up to date on current / future trends in the industry.
- Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring team members with direction from the Director of Manufacturing Operations.
- Assist with running side work, stocking, and cleaning, breakroom, restrooms, disposing of trash and sanitizing work/common spaces during all downtime.
- Approve timecards for your direct reports.
- Perform other duties or projects, as assigned by managers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- METRC Experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- A strong understanding of necessary math concepts.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent working experience.
- Detailed oriented.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning about cannabis, cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system, and cannabis therapies. Previous knowledge is a HUGE plus!
- Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written, adaptable to various audiences
- Proficiency with standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and email.
- Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives, and standard operating procedures.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must pass all required background checks.
- Possess a valid driver's license or state ID.
- Remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance), may include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching down.
