JOB SUMMARY
The ideal candidate will ensure all products are produced to specifications and on time. They will ensure the proper inventory control processes are in place to maintain accurate and precise inventory counts. Providing quality products is one way we will achieve this goal. A successful Production Lead will be able to elevate company standards, achieve goals, provide excellent product suggestions and guidance, and exceed the manager’s expectations.
RESPONSABILITIES
- Follow production schedule put forth by Operations Manager.
- Ensure team members are operating at peak efficiency.
- Learn to use and troubleshoot all production equipment.
- Weigh and package completed items for shipment or storage.
- Follow all company guidelines and safety rules regarding packaging.
- Inspect products for quality and compliance.
- Use production materials and tools appropriately and efficiently.
- Handle and track inventory with care and accuracy
- Input all necessary data into METRC and internal inventory systems.
- Notify Operations Manager when production inventory is below PAR levels.
- Comply with all security measures and quality standards.
- Have a comprehensive knowledgeable of all products, of the cannabis industry, and of any relevant cannabis-related subject matter.
- Participate in staff events, outings, and promotional events.
- Ensure you are early or on time for all shifts and any mandatory events or meetings.
- Assist with running side work and cleaning breakroom, restrooms, disposing of trash and sanitizing work/common spaces during all downtime.
- Perform other duties or projects, as assigned by managers.
Qualifications
- A strong understanding of necessary math concepts.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Detailed oriented.
- Desire to continuously learn (more) about cannabis, cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system, and cannabis therapies previous knowledge a HUGE plus!
- Ability to listen well and effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with various audiences.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and email.
- Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives, and standard operating procedures.
Additional Requirements
Must be 21 years or older
Must pass all required background checks.
Possess valid driver's license or state ID.
Remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance), may include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching down.
