Aerial Imaging Program Manager

We are looking for an Aerial Imaging Program Manager. This experienced and driven professional will lead the development and management of a comprehensive aerial image capture certification program. In addition, this role will directly execute aerial imagery capture as a certified drone pilot to support company and customer needs.       

In this role, you will: 

• Recruit and onboard pilot participants into our “Fly Your Own” drone aerial imagery capture program alongside the sales team, and manage ongoing support for program participants. 
• Design and implement a structured certification program for drone aerial imagery capture, including defining objectives, participant recruitment, and development of curriculum, training module, certification criteria, and success metrics.  
• Establish, enforce, and maintain protocols, policies, and safety procedures to ensure certification requirements align with both company and regulatory standards.
• Manage all program logistics; including scheduling, equipment maintenance, license renewals, and compliance documentation.
• Develop and manage participant evaluation criteria and assessment tools to track progress and ensure readiness for certification.  
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing hands-on support to program participants. 
• Conduct production and test flights for aerial imagery flights to support TerraClear’s operational and customer objectives.  
• Work closely with TerraClear team members or program participants to ensure program success alignment with organizational goals and continuous improvement. 

Required:

• Proven experience in program creation, implementation, and management, preferably in a technical or operational setting.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is required for commercial drone operations.
• Demonstrated experience operating drones for commercial or specialized applications such as mapping, surveying, or aerial photography.
• Skilled in using drone flight software, GPS systems, and data processing tools. Experience with post-processing software is a plus.
• Thorough attention to detail. 
• A deep passion for the agriculture industry and the success of the farmers and operators leading it. 
• Ability to work independently and as a team with little direction.
• Strong and direct communication skills that lead to action.
• Capability to carry and set up equipment in various outdoor environments.

Desired:

• Experience creating or managing certification programs in a technical or operational environment.
• Background in aviation, engineering, photogrammetry or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with training platforms or e-learning development tools.

Base salary pay range:

• $75-90k USD
