Summary
Terran Orbital is seeking a motivated and experienced PCBA/PWBA Technician - Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) at our Irvine, CA location. As an PCBA Technician – AOI, the candidate will work within a multidisciplinary incoming inspection team to provide critical quality assurance on space hardware.
Weekend shift is on Friday - Sunday from 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- AOI Technician shall be responsible for operating AOI Machine/Equipment in the PCBA Production floor with a strong technical understanding of Industry Standards (IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001).
- Review & validate all defects flagged during the Machine's inspection while reporting trending items to the respective Engineer for program/process improvement.
- Record and enter confirmed defects into the MES system for traceability.
- Perform visual inspection on the solderability and cleanliness on the printed circuit board per Industry standards
- Support other non-technical operations on the printed circuit board when time permits.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualification and Skills
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the printed circuit industry
- Minimum two (2) years' programing & operating AOI equipment
- Understanding of industry (IPC) standards and the application thereof
- Must be able to cooperate and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and customers
- Must be able to work with little supervisior
Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
