Events and Engagement Specialist
TerraPower’s Events and Engagement Specialist will report to the Direct of Marketing and Communications and will play a central role in designing and delivering experiences that strengthen relationships with key audiences—employees, partners, customers, and community members. This role will join an integrated, geographically dispersed team and will bring strategic thinking, creativity, and operational excellence to the planning and execution of events and engagement initiatives that advance organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Execute an annual events calendar.
- Lead planning for in person, virtual, and hybrid events, including conferences, workshops, community events, All Hands meetings, and internal engagement activities.
- Oversee end to end event logistics: venue selection, vendor management, catering, A/V coordination, registration, travel arrangements, and day of execution.
- Track event budgets to ensure cost effective delivery without compromising quality.
- Create run of show documents, scripts, timelines, and briefing materials for speakers and leadership.
- Coordinate event communications, including invitations, promotional content, talking points, and post event follow ups.
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, or HR teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
- Cultivate strong vendor relationships and maintain a roster of reliable suppliers and venues.
- Track event performance using surveys, analytics, and stakeholder feedback.
- Produce post event reports with insights and recommendations for future improvements.
- Support TerraPower’s presence at industry conference shows, including conference booth set-up, representing TerraPower as needed at such events.
- Attend internal meetings to support communications and marketing efforts.
- Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration involving in-house and external teams to integrate marketing and branding efforts seamlessly with overall business objectives.
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to elevate the organization’s engagement strategy.
Key Qualifications and Skills
- 5–8 years of experience in event planning, engagement strategy, communications, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, event management, or a related field.
- Proven track record managing complex events with multiple stakeholders, and experience with hybrid/virtual event technologies.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across various disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to create communications that are creative and cognizant of change management best practices.
- Ability to think strategically, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
- Proactive self-starter and team player with strong project execution focus, ability to multi-task, prioritize, meet emergent deadlines and executive a myriad of projects on time.
- Ability to successfully transport materials, set up booths and staff TerraPower booth at industry events with little direct oversight.
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for major events.

Salary Range Level 8: $87,686 - $131,529
* We typically place offers in the lower to middle portion of the range to maintain internal equity and allow room for growth. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual’s qualifications experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
