We’re looking for an ambitious Inside Sales Representative on-site in Hunt Valley, MD to support our Utility & Rail team and to drive growth in our small and emerging accounts while qualifying new opportunities for our senior sales team. This role is perfect for a motivated sales professional who wants to master account development, sharpen their sales skills, and advance into a high impact Outside Sales position after a structured development period. This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Director.

Tessco Technologies is a leading North American value-added distributor of products and solutions for Wireless Networking, In-building signal coverage and cellular infrastructure applications. We are searching for an experienced Inside Sales Representative to be based in Hunt Valley, MD. We are a fast-paced, aggressive company in an exciting, high-growth market that has shown consistent year-over-year revenue expansion. By partnering with our vendors and clients, we are able to position valued solutions for all of their wireless communications needs

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing small accounts through consistent outreach, relationship building, and tailored solutions.
  • Proactively identify, research, and qualify new accounts to hand off to senior sales executives. (see below – Portfolio)
  • Conduct discovery calls, needs assessments, and product/service presentations.
  • Execute targeted campaigns to expand revenue within assigned accounts.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records for leads, opportunities, and activities.
  • Collaborate closely with outside sales, marketing, and customer support to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Meet or exceed monthly activity, qualification, and revenue growth targets.

What You Bring

  • 1–3 years of sales, account management, or customer-facing experience (B2B preferred).
  • Strong communication and active listening skills.
  • Ability to qualify prospects and uncover decision-making processes.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for sales and professional growth.
  • Comfort using CRM tools and sales technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Development Path

  • Phase 1: Inside Sales – Learn the business, grow small accounts, and qualify leads.
  • Phase 2: Territory Assignment – Transition into Outside Sales with your own territory and key accounts.

Work to Sales Excellence Standards established by Sales Leadership

  • Execute 20 meaningful contacts per day
  • Pipeline to be 300% of quota for non-run rate business
  • Provide Active Quotes 120 - 150 times per month

Salary range: $60,000 - $65,000 plus bonus opportunity

Bonus opportunity: 20% bonus for potential OTE of $72,000 - $78,000
