What You Will Be Doing

The successful candidate will work closely with talented cross functional team members through the company’s initial product launch, primarily managing the software project delivery and building a scalable infrastructure to support a cadence of regular/frequent feature releases that includes additional product 510(k) launches.

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will include::

  • Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develop detailed software project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation with the functional leads
    • Develop a sustainable, scalable, software lifecycle plan that includes regular software product refreshes while managing customer expectations and relationships
    • Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, quality, and on budget
    • Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project success
    • Utilize project planning tools such as Asana, Smartsheet and Jira to manage time resources, budgets, and deliverables effectively
    • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and best practices in software engineering
  • Team Coordination:
    • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams comprising software developers, data scientists, QA engineers, and product managers
    • Facilitate communication between team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment and clarity
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and changes
    • Gather and prioritize stakeholder requirements, ensuring they are accurately reflected in project deliverables
    • Communicate status clearly & succinctly with management and the team using reliable and meaningful metrics
  • Quality and Compliance:
    • Ensure that software development processes adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies, particularly in the context of healthcare and medical devices, e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304
    • Oversee testing and validation processes to ensure software meets functional and performance criteria
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project management efficiency
    • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in AI and healthcare technology
  • Hands-On Contribution: While this role involves complex project and stakeholder management, it will also involve hands-on work to ensure project success. This role is initially an individual contributor role but may expand as the product portfolio/business need grows.

What We Are Looking For

Baseline Skills, Experiences, & Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in software project management, with a focus on AI or healthcare technology
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for medical devices and healthcare software (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, IEC 62366, etc)
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and best practices in software engineering
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Fluency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex software projects and delivering high-quality products.
  • Ability to work onsite in our Redwood City, CA office
  • Willingness to travel up to twice per year to our Guilford, CT office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of AI technologies and their applications in healthcare
  • Experience working directly with external stakeholders including advisors and customers, to help translate requests into feature requirements and plans

What We Offer

Anticipated Salary Range: $175,000 to $215,000 annually. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, operational needs, potential employee qualifications and other considerations permitted by law. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, equity and program-specific awards. In addition, we provide a variety of other benefits to employees including but not limited to:
