What You Will Be Doing

Hours/Week: Estimated average of 20 hours per week based on business needs

 

As a Controller at identifeye HEALTH, you will support the financial operations of the company, as well as the development, implementation and management of both manual and automated billing systems in support of an upcoming new product launch. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as expertise in financial systems and billing workflows, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance and effective financial management. 

As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be to:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on the design and implementation of identifeye’s billing systems:
    • Lead the design and execution of billing systems to support the successful launch of the company’s first product
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define billing requirements, pricing structures, and customer invoicing procedures
    • Ensure seamless integration with CRM, ERP and accounting software
    • Establish scalable, efficient and compliant billing workflows, ensuring they are adaptable to the evolving needs of the product and business
    • Create and document clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manual billing processes during the early stages of product launch
    • Identify and implement improvements to enhance billing accuracy, speed and reporting capabilities
  • Oversee accurate revenue recognition and billing reconciliation processes, ensuring data integrity across financial systems and internal stakeholders
  • Manage and monitor accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, cash application and collections
  • Provide financial insights and regular reporting on billing activity, revenue and customer payments
  • Support financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting by working closely with leadership and back office support
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external audits, addressing any issues or findings to ensure successful audit results

What We Are Looking For

Baseline Skills, Experiences, & Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA required, with relevant industry experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a Controller or Senior Accounting role, preferably within a product-driven company
  • Proven experience in establishing and optimizing both manual and automated billing systems, particularly in support of product launches or scaling operations
  • Proficient in financial systems and software, with experience in ERP and billing platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and effectively
  • Strong ethics and integrity, with a commitment to upholding professional standards and maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of industry experience
  • Particular interest in life sciences, biotech and/or medical device industries

What We Offer

Anticipated Salary Range: $55/hour to $85/hour. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, operational needs, potential employee qualifications and other considerations permitted by law.
