Associate Director, Financial Planning and Analysis
Your experience includes…
- Bachelor's degree (Finance or Accounting) required with 12 years of business experience, minimum of 6 years in FP&A roles
- Ability to design systems, data structures, and workbooks effectively to automate reporting and analysis at scale
- Strong affinity for systems and AI, exhibiting a keen eye for identifying process inefficiencies and potential areas for automation
- Understanding of valuation and modeling concepts, such as NPV and DCF
- Hands-on experience with Adaptive Planning, SAP, and Coupa preferred
- Working independently and managing multiple projects simultaneously, while also adapting to changing priorities and meeting deadlines under pressure

- Leading corporate-wide budgeting and planning processes
- Month-end close and reporting activities for the company, reviewing results, collaborating with accounting, delivering variance analysis, and validating management reporting packages
- Monitoring performance vs. budget and effect interventions with management, as needed
- Collaborating with Senior Director, Strategic and Corporate FP&A on the development of presentations for the executive team and board of directors
- Supporting financial approval, governance, and decision-making processes
- Administrating financial planning and reporting system
- Developing and implementing enhancements to our financial planning, reporting, and enterprise systems to increase capabilities while driving efficiency
- Analyzing financial data to identify emerging trends, assess risks, and uncover opportunities for cost and/or operational improvement
- The potential for business partnering which includes planning, reporting, and strategic analyses depending on the candidate’s specific experience and development interest
About you:
You are a tenured Financial Planning and Analysis professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You have experience driving financial strategy including excellent problem solving and analytical skills, critical thinking capability to forecast events that may impact financial results and the ability to communicate effectively to large audiences including both technical and non-technical leadership. You are highly motivated, intellectually curious and are committed to personal and team growth and development.

Brian LeBlanc - Senior Director - FP&A
Brian LeBlanc is a Massachusetts native who received his BSBA in Finance from Northeastern University. Previously, he spent 12 years at Millennium Pharmaceuticals and Takeda Pharmaceuticals, primarily as an FP&A Business partner in multiple roles that spanned the full spectrum of R&D and FP&A operations.
In 2021, Brian joined Tessera Therapeutics as its first FP&A employee and built the function from the ground up. Today, the lean team is delivering robust scenario planning and strategic support while enhancing its systems and processes. Their vision is to consistently be a value-adding partner through strong collaboration and analysis, enabled by an automated foundation.

Narissa joined the Biotechnology industry shortly after graduating with her BS in Marketing from Franklin Pierce University. She is currently pursuing a MS in Legal Studies from Northeastern University School of Law while working full time as a Manager in Talent Acquisition at Tessera. Narissa lives in Northern Vermont and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, three-year-old daughter and German Shepherd.
