Senior Scientist, DNA Assembly

Your experience includes… 

  • Ph.D. with 5+ years of relevant industry experience or M.S. with 10+ years relevant industry experience in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology or a related field. 
  • Must have extensive molecular cloning (both design and wet lab) experience with a variety of different approaches (Golden Gate, Gibson, restriction enzyme digestion/ligation, Gateway, etc.). 
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills towards multitasking in an extremely fast-paced environment with changing priorities. 
  • Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Independently motivated, detail-oriented scientist with excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Experience with IVT RNA is a plus 
  • People management experience is a plus 
  • Experience with Sanger sequence analysis 
  • Experience with NGS analysis preferred 
  • Experience with automation preferred 
  • Experience with workflow management tools preferred

  • Leading a small team in custom plasmid cloning and IVT RNA generation for projects across the company. 
  • Partnering with other research teams on cross functional projects. 
  • Exploring new technology and software to strengthen and streamline the design and generation of DNA. 
  • Training and mentoring junior scientists as needed. 
  • Performing additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Adrienne Greene – Director, Reagent Foundry 

Adrienne is a molecular and cell biologist by education with a B.S. from The University of New Mexico and a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from University of California Berkeley. She spent several years working in the national labs running research teams focused on CRISPR-based therapeutics. She then transitioned to biotech and has since built several teams and molecular biology capabilities for screening T cell receptors for cell therapy and cancer vaccine programs. Adrienne joined Tessera the beginning of 2024, leading the Reagent Foundry which is responsible for supporting the generation of all nucleic acid products for our drug candidates.
