Co-op, Pharmacology and Immunotherapy
Tessera Fall Co-op Program: Designed for students as an alternate academic study in their Bachelors or Masters program. Eligible students would be those attending schools with an established co-op program in their academic curriculum.
Duration: June 23rd - December (6-month program) or February (8-month program) || Monday – Friday, 35-40 hrs/week
- Hands-on Experience:Co-op participants will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on innovative projects at the forefront of biotechnology.
- Coffee Chats with Leadership:Regular informal sessions will be arranged where students can engage in candid conversations with Tessera Therapeutics' leadership team. These sessions offer a unique opportunity to gain insights into leadership styles, career paths, and industry trends.
- Career Development Workshops: Throughout the program, participants will have access to a series of workshops focused on enhancing key professional skills such as drafting a resume and interviewing.
- Student Outings and Activities:To foster a sense of camaraderie and community among participants, Tessera Therapeutics will organize various outings and activities.
- Student Presentation:Opportunity to present accomplishments at the end of the co-op program to the entire organization.

Position Responsibilities:
- Support studies investigating in vivo CAR-T generation
- Perform cell/tissue cultures in BSL2 facility
- Participate in the in vivo tasks including injections and sample takedown
- Perform flow cytometry on rodent or NHP models derived samples
- Analyze experimental data using tools such as FlowJo and GraphPad
- Present data to the project team and other internal Tessera audiences
- Adhering to all laboratory safety requirements and procedures
Basic Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Biology, Immunology, Pharmaceutical Sciences or other related discipline
- Proficiency in wet lab skills including pipetting and cell sample processing and staining; cell culture experience is advantageous.
- Mouse handling and other pharmacological skills and experience are highly preferred
- Quick and engaged learner with adaptive and collaborative mindset.
Position Summary:
The Immunotherapy/Pharmacology Fall Co-op will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research on in vivo CAR-T cell generation using Tessera’s gene writing technology. This position will give experience with preclinical investigations for novel gene and cell therapy development. We seek a motivated, scientifically driven individual who is open-minded, able to multi-task and work within a team setting
