The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Finance Manager to join our team. This role will serve as a strategic partner to sales teams, ensuring accurate financial tracking, timely collections, and the integrity of our CRM System, Linx. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in project finance, excellent communication skills, and a passion for process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to manage project financials, including billing schedules, payment terms, and receivables.
- Lead collections to ensure timely cash flow and resolve client disputes.
- Generate and present financial reports on project performance and collections status.
- Maintain and improve data accuracy in CRM, including project status, financial milestones, and customer records.
- Collaborate with Sales and IT teams to streamline CRM workflows and reporting capabilities.
- Train and support team members on best practices for CRM usage and data entry.
- Review project performance for profitability and financial performance
- Act as liaison between Finance, Sales, and Operations to ensure alignment on project goals and financial expectations.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for commercial projects.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve financial tracking, collections, and CRM data quality.
- Develop SOPs for finance and CRM processes; assist with contract review to identify financial or compliance risks
- Lead monthly and quarterly financial forecasts for project revenue and margins within the Projects Group
- Prepare job costs reports, WIP (work in progress) reports, and financial dashboards
The Required Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in project finance, preferably in construction, HVAC, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems (experience with Linx is a plus).
- Proven track record in collections and financial reporting.
- Experience working with Sales Engineers and technical sales teams.
- Familiarity with commercial HVAC industry practices and terminology.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively in collaboration with department heads as well as the executive team
- Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proven problem solving, conceptual thinking, and analytical abilities; experience with process adherence and suggesting improvement to processes
- High level of written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Environmental Requirements
Will be required to work in an office environment and possibly, occasionally in the field.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
