The Opportunity
Under minimal direction, this role is responsible for the successful management and leadership of the Texas AirSystems Sales business including personnel, development, coordination, customer satisfaction, growth, build relationships with customers and manufacturers, support of strategic objectives and accountability for overall sales and financial results.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for P & L performance, developing budgets and projections, risk management, contract administrations and sales effectiveness metrics of local sales office.
- Develops strategic short and long-range sales objectives including operations, personnel and financial performance.
- Responsible for achieving Sales objectives regarding market share, profit and growth goals.
- Assist outside Sales team members in developing short term and long terms sales plans and conducts quarterly meetings to review their sales plans.
- Sets work priorities for direct reports by reviewing sales performance and aligning their goals and behaviors with company’s short and long-term goals and expectations.
- Assigns new and existing accounts as necessary.
- Responsible for mediating internal and external sales issues that arise due to warranty, commission splits and other disputes.
- Create and maintain a culture of Involvement, engagement, ownership, respect, fairness accountability and consistency based on TAS’ Mission, Vision and Values.
- Responsible for Managing expectations and relationships with the Manufacturers we represent with in the assigned territory, with a commitment to meet all manufacturer’s sales expectations.
- Develops and ensures that quality standards are maintained, for processes and functions.
- Maintains outstanding customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, advising corrective action, and communicating with customers and manufacturers.
- Responsible for keeping abreast of external market conditions and internal requirements related to equipment.
- Develop the leadership within the local sales office, including administrative, inside and outside sales team for future individual, strategic growth and succession planning.
- Responsible for recruiting, developing, retaining and promoting local sales team.
- Teams with leadership to evaluate and review potential new product lines.
- Facilitates Weekly sales team bid meetings.
- Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.
The Required Profile
- Bachelors Degree in Business or related field and Ten or more years of sales management related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning or Construction industry experience is a plus.
- Excellent initiative, and interpersonal communications skills and a demonstrated ability to influence others.
- Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office 2007 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.
Environmental Requirements
Will be required to work in an office environment and possibly, occasionally in the field.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
