Job Summary:
We are looking for an organized and motivated shop assistant to join our Shop Team. The shop assistant will ensure inventory is processed, organized, and stored. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on their feet, is mechanically inclined, and has a strong attention to detail. The shop assistant may also operate heavy machinery, or drive equipment, so a candidate with experience and a valid driver's license is preferred.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· You will take pride in sorting, organizing, and storing inventory in its proper place, ensuring everything is easily accessible.
· Your attention to detail will shine as you package items and label them correctly, setting the standard for accuracy.
· You will be the first line of defense in ensuring quality by carefully checking delivered items and catching any issues early.
· When you spot damaged or missing inventory, you will take action, reporting it to supervisors to keep operations running smoothly.
· Your skills will come into play when you stack and organize large items, making sure everything is secure and in order.
· With your help, inventory will move seamlessly from trucks or shipping areas to its proper location.
· You will keep the team informed by updating logs and documentation, making sure everything is accounted for.
· Safety is always a priority for you—wearing the right gear will be second nature.
· You will take charge when operating heavy machinery like forklifts, moving or storing inventory with precision.
· Keeping the workspace clean and free of hazards will be your way of ensuring everyone’s safety.
· You will be an active team member, working together with others to achieve shared goals.
· Your preparation and attention to detail will ensure documentation and inventory are always ready for audits.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Self-starter
· Comfortable with Microsoft suite of products: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma preferred
· 1+ year experience in a warehouse or similar position
Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Pay: $21.00 -25.00 per hour
Schedule:
· 7:00AM to 4:00PM with 1 hour lunch
· Monday to Friday
