Job Summary:
As an HVAC Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing a team of skilled HVAC technicians, ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You’ll be responsible for managing daily operations, providing technical guidance, and fostering a culture of safety and collaboration. Your leadership will be key to maintaining high-quality service standards, driving team efficiency, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· You lead, mentor, and support your team of HVAC technicians, making sure they have the tools, knowledge, and confidence to succeed in their work. Your guidance empowers them to perform at their best every day.
· You take charge of scheduling installations, repairs, inspections, and maintenance, ensuring everything runs smoothly and projects are completed on time. You’re the one making sure nothing slips through the cracks.
· You are the go-to technical expert for your team, stepping in when complex problems arise. Your hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills help the team navigate challenges and deliver high-quality results.
· You keep communication flowing, providing regular updates to your team and management on project progress, challenges, and solutions. Your transparency helps keep everyone aligned and on track.
· You ensure everything is done right, from safety regulations to building codes and company standards. Your attention to detail keeps the team safe and the work compliant.
· You conduct site inspections to guarantee that quality control, safety, and timelines are all met. Your presence on-site helps keep standards high and ensures the job is done right.
· You’re always thinking ahead, facilitating training and development programs so your team stays up to date with the latest advancements in HVAC systems and certifications. You believe in continuous improvement.
· You foster an open and collaborative environment where feedback is encouraged, and ideas are shared. Your leadership helps the team grow and improve together.
· You prioritize and plan ahead, ensuring the team has the resources, tools, and materials they need to tackle every job. You’re the one keeping things organized and efficient.
· You track your team’s performance, offering regular feedback and conducting evaluations that help your team members grow and achieve their goals.
· You’re the face of the team when interacting with customers, addressing their concerns, answering their questions, and ensuring they are satisfied with the service. Your customer service helps build lasting relationships.
· You work across departments, collaborating with other leaders to ensure everything runs smoothly and that your team’s work aligns with the overall company goals.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a senior HVAC technician or in a similar leadership role.
· Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, installation, and maintenance of both commercial and residential systems.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and develop a team.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
· Technical certifications in HVAC or related fields.
· Commitment to safety, quality work, and continuous learning.
· Member of Local 142
Preferred Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry.
· Experience leading teams in field service or maintenance operations.
· Relevant certifications such as EPA Certification, HVAC Excellence, or NATE certification.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift 50lbs
· Regularly sit, walk, bend, lift, twist upper body, stretch and stand for incremental periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time, Exempt
Schedule:
· 8-hour shift
· Hours to be available are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday – Friday. Hours are subject to change with seasonal demands/workload.
