Product Design Lead

The Opportunity

As Product Design Lead, you will shape the design strategy and execution for our AI-powered tools and workflows, ensuring they are intuitive, effective, and impactful for AI builders and ecosystem participants. You will work at the intersection of AI, product, and user experience, defining how developers, researchers, and organizations interact with cutting-edge AI technology.

This role is about creating exceptional user experiences for AI-driven products, rapidly iterating on prototypes, and translating complex AI capabilities into simple, elegant interfaces. You should be a hands-on design leader who thrives in ambiguity, champions user-centered design, and loves experimenting with new interaction patterns. You will report to our Head of Product.

What You'll Achieve:

Success in this role means delivering world-class design solutions that enhance the usability and effectiveness of our our product suite, in particular our Portal product. Within your first year, you will:

• Redesign the Agent Configuration Experience – Develop intuitive, flexible workflows that allow developers to efficiently configure and deploy AI agents within the Portal. Establish design principles and user experiences for AI-powered tools, ensuring seamless interactions.
• Introduce Agent Monitoring & Insights – Design clear, actionable dashboards that provide real-time visibility into agent activity, performance, and outcomes.
• Streamline Multi-User Collaboration – Improve how different user personas (developers, operators, and analysts) interact with and manage agents within the Portal.
• Build a Scalable, Agent-Centric Design System – Establish a cohesive UI/UX framework that ensures consistency across the Portal and future AI-driven products.

Skills You'll Need:

You’re likely a great fit if you have:

• Technical UX Expertise: Deep experience designing interfaces for AI-driven products, developer tools, or complex technical systems. You are code-comfortable and not afraid of highly technical areas
• AI expertise: you’re closely following the rapid development of AI as a trend, building AI tooling into your own workflows, and think deeply about the impact AI will have on software.
• Nose for customer value: you can’t wait to talk to customers, look at data, and build both evidence and intuition for what customers want from our products.
• Hands-on, Agile Execution & Innovation: A bias toward action, comfort with ambiguity, and a drive to push boundaries in AI-driven design.

Location

Textile is a fully remote company spanning GMT -8 to GMT +1 (North America, South America, Central Europe). While being small, we've found that it is helpful to have a high level of overlap as a team.
