About the Role
At Thalamus, our Business Operations Manager will be at the heart of our execution engine, driving clarity, accountability, and momentum across the business. Reporting directly to the COO, this high-impact role will serve as a connective tissue between our Go-To-Market (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing) and G&A (Finance, Legal, HR) teams. You’ll lead quarterly planning and operational cadence, including OKR setting, leadership meetings, and execution tracking. Whether facilitating cross-functional projects like pricing changes or building dashboards that track churn, CAC, and retention, you’ll create the systems and rituals that enable Thalamus to scale with discipline and intention.
What You Will Achieve

Drive operational efficiency by streamlining and optimizing business processes across G&A and GTM functions to support scalability and organizational clarity

Lead high-impact, cross-functional projects such as system implementations, tool integrations, and strategic initiatives—ensuring timelines, budgets, and outcomes are met and communicated clearly

Design and maintain executive and departmental dashboards to monitor performance metrics including GTM performance, CAC, churn, and retention—enabling both strategic and operational decision-making

Partner with Legal and Compliance to uphold policies and meet regulatory standards such as GDPR, CCPA, and SOC2, ensuring a risk-conscious operational foundation

Evaluate and implement tooling enhancements, advocating for automation and AI-powered solutions that reduce manual workloads and improve workflow efficiency across teams

Foster cross-functional alignment and communication, ensuring stakeholders are aligned, informed, and accountable to shared operational goals
You Should Have
-
8+ years in business operations, program management, or related roles—ideally within high-growth or startup environments

Proven success in streamlining processes and driving cross-functional projects to completion

Strong command of project management tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Asana, HubSpot, Excel, Tableau)

Ability to build dashboards and distill operational metrics into actionable insights

Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, GDPR) and experience partnering with legal or finance stakeholders

Strong communicator with a track record of aligning teams, managing up, and influencing without authority

Bias toward action, systems thinking, and continuous improvement in ambiguous environments

The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $185,000 and a grant of stock options. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and geographic location.
