Broker Channel Account Executive

About the role

We’re looking for talented and ambitious channel AEs. The ideal candidates can work with channel partners to create pipeline via referrals, managing a high-velocity sales cycle and navigating a strategic sales process.

As an early member of the channel team, you will help shape the future of the program at Thatch. Your responsibilities will span from strategic planning to hands-on execution, requiring a balance of big-picture thinking and attention to detail.

What you’ll do

  • Create and build relationships with insurance brokers and other partners
  • Lead meetings with external audiences to discuss Thatch and share product demos
  • Become a product expert on Thatch and understand the broader ICHRA landscape
  • Work cross functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams to create a great experience for our partners
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition for new customers

Background we're looking for

  • 5+ years of channel sales experience, particularly in early stage startups selling B2B
  • Proven track record of success as a top performer on your team
  • Experience carrying an annual sales quota
  • Previous experience selling benefits, and/or HR/insurance products
  • Experience doing whatever it takes at a startup, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Experience we’d be particularly excited about

  • Relationships in the broker community you could leverage immediately
  • Having a previous or current broker license in any state

What to expect

We interview rigorously based on integrity, talent, and drive; the trust we display in our teammates from day 1 is a reflection of the confidence we have in this process. We aim to evaluate the things you’ll be doing every day as best we can, and we move quickly — the entire interview process is typically complete within 2 weeks. We will conduct the following interviews:

  • 30 minute Zoom meeting to talk about Thatch, your background, and answer any questions about the role
  • 45 minute Zoom meeting to hear more about your experience and how you'd approach working in the role
  • Take home project to assess your functional expertise for the role you're applying for
  • 30 minute Zoom call to review your project with another team member
  • 30 minute Zoom meeting with one of our founders to discuss your approach to culture and our operating principles
  • Final 30 minute call to answer any outstanding questions
