Phone Intake Team Lead

Position Overview
The Phone Intake Therapist (PIT) Team Lead supports the day-to-day operations of The Emily Program Phone Intake Team. This role requires extensive knowledge of PIT processes and cross-team workflows to serve as the first point of contact for team member questions and case consultations. The PIT Team Lead also supports the onboarding, training, and mentoring of new team members in collaboration with the Phone Intake Manager. In addition, this position provides general administrative support to the PIT Team and partners with the PIT Manager on special projects. The PIT Team Lead will also function as an enhanced Phone Intake Therapist, completing approximately 10 intakes per week and providing overflow support as needed.
How Phone Intake Therapist Team Leads Empower Recovery
- Complete an average of 10 intakes per week (approximately 2 per day), providing overflow support to PIT team members as needed. Intake expectations may be adjusted to accommodate additional tasks and projects.
- Serve as the first point of contact for triaging unique cases presented by the Phone Intake Team, escalating to the PIT Manager as appropriate.
- Act as the primary trainer for the PIT team, responsible for onboarding, training, and mentoring new and existing team members in collaboration with the PIT Manager.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of PIT processes and all related workflows.
- Assist in maintaining and updating a shared repository of all PIT policies, procedures, training materials, and related documentation.
- Monitor PTO and PRN coverage to ensure completion and team coverage needs are met.
- Assist with intake and census tracking and auditing, identifying trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Represent the PIT team in change management initiatives (e.g., EHR integration) as assigned.
- Participate in designated data collection projects as assigned by the PIT Manager.
- Assist with weekly diagnosis entries as requested by UR (average of 5 per week).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree and independent license is required.
- 2+ years of experience Phone Intake role preferred.
- Experience in mental health care and eating disorder treatment preferred.
