Position Overview
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for providing assistance to the professional staff. Delivers direct care to patients as directed by the RN or LPN in charge. Always maintains patient comfort and safety. Follows all departmental policies and procedures as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Represents the facility with integrity, adheres to the facility’s Core Values and mission, consistently maintaining the dignity of each person.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- 7:00 am-4:00 pm
How Medical Assistants Empower Recovery:
- Assist nurses with daily schedule/assignments within scope of practice.
- Obtain and document vital signs, blind weights, accuchecks, and EKG's
- Draw labs as ordered and run point of care laboratory testing
- Set up tube feeds and pumps
- Assist with paperwork, admissions, discharges, copies, transfer packets.
- Proper cleaning and storage of medical equipment.
Qualifications:
- CMA Certification, required
- 2 years experience in inpatient medical setting, preferred
- New Graduates considered
