Position Overview
The Sr IT Applications Analyst provides Tier 3 operational ownership for assigned enterprise applications, including administration and maintenance; availability and incident/problem/change/knowledge management; upgrades/patching coordination; vendor/SLA oversight and escalation; and integrations/interfaces. Platform-specific build work (e.g., Salesforce configuration/automation, EHR build/customization) remains with the respective platform owner; the Applications Analyst coordinates cross-system impacts and end-to-end readiness as needed.

- Starting salary range between $90,000-125,000
Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position
How Senior Applications Analysts Empower Recovery
As an IT Applications Analyst, you will:
- Serve as technical SME and overall responsibility for assigned application(s), including:
- Serve as Tier 3 “application owner” and escalation point if IT Support is unable to resolve user issues
- SME on what the system does and its capabilities
- Author/maintain KB articles used by IT Support to troubleshoot and diagnose application issues
- Expert on technical aspects of the product/software and how it relates to other systems at the company
- Document/maintain system architecture
- Document and manage any 3rd-party relationships.
- Provide Application Administration
- Serve as gatekeeper of system to be sure it is being properly used.
- Manage communication with end-users (notification of outages, upgrades, patching, etc.)
- Collect and track KPI statistics and evaluation of SLAs (are they being met by the vendor?)
- Ensure appropriate controls are in place to manage licensees and costs; participate in access reviews, least-privilege, audit requests, and data/privacy controls for the application.
- Perform occasional audits for license accuracy, permission levels, groups/roles, employee terminations, etc.
- Implement small enhancements/break-fix solutions within assigned application(s) (e.g., configuration toggles, picklist/reference values, field labels, roles/groups) in alignment with change control; coordinate larger enhancements through vendor/SDLC processes.
- Maintain Business Owner relationships
- Serve as first point of contact with the business team
- Responsible for managing enhancement requests/bug-fixes with the Vendor
- When enhancements are needed or bugs identified; ensure requirements are defined, estimates are appropriate and budget is approved, changes are documented and tested before production release.
- Partner with Business Owner of the application to document business use:
- Document system workflow
- Outline typical use cases
- Ensure documentation is current and accurate
- Maintain Vendor relationships
- Regular meetings with vendor account manager
- Key person to report problems to vendor, including tracking tickets to resolution
- Understand, document, and track SLA expectations of Vendor – time to acknowledge problem, response time, resolution time, etc.
- Manage licensing, billing and financial responsibilities
- Ensuring invoices match contractually agreed to amounts
- Ensuring enhancement estimates are appropriate and budget is approved prior to work beginning
- Additional responsibilities as needed
Educational Qualifications
- Four-year Computer Science, IT or relevant college degree or 5+ years’ experience working in IT roles
Professional Qualifications
- At least 5-8 years of experience in IT application development, QA, business analysis or project management.
- Experience in IT service management or systems analysis preferred.
