Kitchen Supervisor – Westminster ACES School 

Position Summary
The Westminster ACES School is seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations on a year-round basis (Summer (SY) Friday's are off). This role is responsible for ensuring efficient meal preparation and service for students while maintaining strict compliance with food safety standards and state regulations. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, leadership experience, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-managed kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, including heating and defrosting food for the student meal program

  • Prepare food items in accordance with established menus and portion guidelines

  • Manage food ordering, receiving, and inventory reporting to ensure adequate supply levels

  • Track inventory and kitchen data using Excel or similar tools for reporting and accountability

  • Monitor and review product expiration dates; determine appropriate use or disposal of food items

  • Maintain full compliance with Colorado food handler requirements and all applicable health and safety regulations

  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all kitchen areas

  • Take ownership of the kitchen site, proactively addressing operational needs and challenges

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely meal service

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen management or supervisory experience strongly preferred

  • Experience with inventory tracking, reporting, and basic Excel usage required

  • Knowledge of food safety standards and adherence to Colorado food handler regulations

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a sense of urgency

  • Passion for serving others and contributing to a positive student experience

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Willing to undergo a background check

  • Must possess (or be able to obtain) a valid food handler certification in accordance with Colorado requirements

  • Clean driving record and ability to drive as needed

Pay Range

$23 - $25 USD
