IT Analyst / Systems Administrator
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Associate Director of Network and Security
Position Summary
The IT Analyst / Systems Administrator is responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting the organization's server infrastructure, Microsoft cloud environment, networking systems, and enterprise technology services. This role serves as a senior technical resource providing advanced systems administration, infrastructure support, network support, and escalation assistance for complex technical issues.
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
Microsoft Server Administration
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related Microsoft infrastructure services.
- Monitor server performance and system health.
- Perform server upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
Microsoft Cloud Services (Microsoft 365, Intune, Exchange, and Related Platforms)
- Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Manage Microsoft Intune for endpoint enrollment, compliance, application deployment, and device lifecycle management.
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID and access controls.
- Implement Conditional Access, MFA, and identity protection solutions.
- Support Microsoft Defender and Microsoft 365 security and compliance features.
Cybersecurity and Compliance Support
- Support security operations, including endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, MFA, conditional access, patch compliance, and access reviews.
- Assist with audit preparation, evidence gathering, policy implementation, and compliance-related documentation.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts in coordination with MDR, EDR, firewall, and cloud security tools.
- Help ensure systems follow FERPA, data privacy, cybersecurity, and organizational security requirements.
Network Support
- Support enterprise network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and internet services.
- Troubleshoot routing, switching, DNS, and connectivity issues.
- Support VPN and remote access technologies.
Vendor and Project Support
- Coordinate with technology vendors, carriers, MSPs, and infrastructure support partners.
- Assist with project planning, technical discovery, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Track vendor support cases, service issues, renewals, and technical deliverables.
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and campus technology projects.
Support Services Escalation
- Serve as a Level II/III escalation resource.
- Resolve complex technical issues involving servers, networking, cloud services, and endpoints.
- Provide mentoring and technical leadership to junior staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of systems administration or infrastructure support experience.
- Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, and Entra ID.
- Experience supporting enterprise networking technologies.
- Experience supporting multi-site technology environments.
- Experience managing user access, permissions, system security, and infrastructure configurations.
- Strong documentation, communication, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity tools, patch management, endpoint protection, and identity access controls.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft 365 Administrator, Azure, or related certifications.
- Experience with Exchange Online, Intune, Microsoft Defender, and compliance solutions.
- PowerShell automation experience.
- Experience supporting K-12, healthcare, behavioral health, or multi-site environments.
- Experience with MDR, EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, or endpoint security tools.
- Knowledge of FERPA, cybersecurity best practices, and data privacy requirements.
- Experience with Fortinet, Ubiquiti, Microsoft Defender, Bitdefender, NinjaOne, or similar platforms.

Pay Range
$65,000 - $70,000 USD
